GMC Side Frame
One end is 7.12" wide with four 3/8" diameter holes on each side
The other end is 6.50" wide, also with four 3/8" diameter holes on each side
(4 holes on each side to accommodate more than one model) Two 1/2" NC mounting studs at 37.87" centers
One side of the frame has a bracket with six 5/16" NC threaded holes. The other side of the frame also has six 5/16" NC threaded holes plus a 5/16" NC threaded stud in the center

Top & Bottom Flanges: 7.00" x 6.00" GMC Side Frames
Top flange :
Overhang on engine side to a 12.50" overall header size
A total of 14 holes, 9 drilled clearance for 5/16" bolts and 5 tapped 5/16" N.C. threads.
Bottom flange :
11 holes, 6 drilled clearance for 5/16" bolts and 5 tapped 5/16" N.C. threads
One bracket at top of frame with a 7/16" diameter hole
Two “sleeves” welded on gussets on engine side to accommodate cross bars
Eight 5/16" N.C. threaded holes on sides of rail, 5 on engine side and 3 on grille side
Twelve 3/8" threaded holes on “flat” side of rail
Note: side frames are not interchangeable.
